Their
Story
| How did these two meet?
Truly a modern Love Story - via the Internet, of course!
How else would a computer geek meet his future bride?! Actually,
when the truth is told, it was Kristin that found John. She quickly
wrote him when she saw he was only a few miles away. (As John says,
she thought she'd better find out who to avoid in her local neighborhood.)
They began writing notes back & forth on the Internet in July
of last year. It wasn't until September that they talked on the
phone for the first time, for 6 hours and 27 minutes, to be exact.
It didn't take long to decide to meet after that. They were both
certain there was good potential! |

After they met, they
began seeing each other more often than not… it was pretty
obvious to both of them that they were an excellent pair! Kristin
even learned how to be a "motorcycle babe" and ride along
with John on his Honda Valkyrie. And John learned that earplugs
are a prerequisite on Sunday afternoons during Vikings football
season. Their differences have given each of them something new
to enjoy now that they are shared with the right company. The 3
mile road between Hugo and Centerville quickly became their "most
traveled route". Even Teddy (Kristin's cat) has adjusted to
a new life. |
| Sharing their lives together
was a big and welcome change for them. However, it was by no means
the only change in their lives. Kristin left Cub White Bear Lake in
December, and began work to open the pharmacy at the new Cub Foods
in Forest Lake (as told in her story).
The new job as Pharmacy Manager has been both challenging and rewarding.
Not to be outdone, John made a tough decision to leave EDS after 13
years with the same group (although with 6 different companies, as
told in his story). He's had the opportunity
to begin a new software company with a few friends which will officially
begin in July. Adding these big changes to planning a wedding, and
finding a way to merge two households together into one - will make
for an exciting and busy summer!!! |
